My First Golf Tournament, Riyadh

The tournament was on 28th december, 2007. The night before that day, all the while I was thinking about the tournament. The next day I got up at 6 in the morning as the tee off was at 7.30 and the course was 32 kms away from my house. I got ready, when my father got up and he got ready very quickly and we left from our house. I slept in the car for sometime as it was a long drive. When we reached there i got down from the car, I felt a little nervous. My father went inside to talk to the manager about my registration as it was not confirmed. I stood outside looking at all the people. My father came out and we took a cart and went to the 10th tee, as we were playing back nine first. I played my game very well for a beginner, my tee- off's were initially very good, in the starting my putts went a little wrong but after 2 to 3 holes I did it also well. My father played a crucial role in my game as he gave me lot of support and even my mother who helped me to get up and helped me mentally. While I was playing the back nine, I played a little cautiously but I played the front nine a little more calmly. All the time I was only thinking about my game and nothing else. I concentrated hard on my shots and at last completed the 18- hole course. After completing the game, I drove us back to the club house. We waited for sometime as some people were still playing. I submitted my scorecard and we had lunch. After lunch there was the prize distribution, my name was announced first. I had got a cup for good playing. I was very happy and I couldn't believe it!!!! This was going to be the happiest day of my life if I hadn't lost my brand new shoes, after the tournament I had gone for lunch to my friend's house, there i left my shoes outside and they got lost. But, still it is one of the most memorable day of my life........

The Military People come to our school.

On this day, I had the last exam of my 7th class, Quarterly exam. After the exam our principal told us that, that day was a full day. All my classmates did not understand why we had a full day. After the exam our teachers told us to got to the playground. Then we saw a few military people. They were doing a sort of March past in their own military style. This went on for about half an hour. Then we were told to go to the Multi-purpose hall. There a military person said that they were going to go show us a presentation with a projector and after it was over they would conduct a Quiz related to the presentation. In the Quiz, who our answered the questions would get hats, which were given by the Bison. The military people had come to our school to tell us about the 4th military World games.
This day was one of my most memorable day of my life. I enjoyed this day very much and also because it was after my exams.

My thoughts after coming to India..........

I have joined many courses here like Golf and Tennis. India is very good. In India I have learnt lots of new things. I have become very responsible and disciplined. My new school has started. I like this school a lot because the studies are very good, there are lots of activities and we also have other co-curricular activities. The teachers also teach very well and they are also learned. I have also made lots of new friends in my school.
In India we get to interact with a lot of people. I have also become very active and I feel that, India is full of life. I am also continuing my hobby of reading books, as I spend my leisure time in reading books. I have also become very independent and do all my things by my self.
I feel there is not much difference now between Riyadh ( the place where I used to live before moving to India) and Hyderabad (the place where I am living in India, presently) , as Hyderabad is also developing a lot.
These are my thoughts about life in India, but I sometimes miss Riyadh.

The Moon

The moon is like a white ball
Floating in the space.
It has very big craters
Which look like holes.
It is made of silver
And is very far away.
It gives us light in the night
While the sun takes a nap.
It looks very small
But it is very big.
Everyone likes the moon
So do I.

LIFE

Life is the most important gift that god has given us. We should use it in a proper way. Life is like an ice- cream, we should enjoy it before it melts. Try and enjoy all the good things in life.

You should always be smiling. Don’t be sad for silly reasons. For example if you get less marks in your exam don’t worry you still have another chance. So try, try again until you succeed. No one is perfect.

You should thank god for all the things he has given you. Don’t be ungrateful. There are many things which go wrong in our life. We should not think why god did like this. We should try to fight for the right. If our car gets stuck in a hole, we should not pray to god that god help me, you should try to pull it out and god will help you in your effort.

You should not make bad friends in your childhood. It will result in having a bad future.

So my dear friends just think for a minute and try to understand what I am trying to express and you’ll surely get what I am saying.

Race Course, Riyadh 21-11-04

On this day we went to the race course. We journeyed in the morning. We all went in one car. We cracked jokes, played card games and discussed riddles. It takes up to 40-50 minutes to reach there. After we reached there we arranged all our things. [e.g. cycles, cricket bats and balls and other playing items]. Then we started cycling. There was a lot of open space to play there. We went on an inclined area with our cycles. My friend had binoculars. We took it and tried to see the moon, it was being seen lightly. Then our parents called us for lunch. We ate our food very fast, so that we could play. After lunch we were playing cricket. Our fathers also wanted to play, so we divided the teams equally. We had a lot of fun. At last our team won the match. After that we played football. We played among ourselves. The fathers were tired so they didn’t play. There was a small lake there so we sat there for sometime. There was a lot of fresh air. There was greenery everywhere. After sometime the sun was setting. We had to leave. I didn’t want to leave but, we had to. Me and my friends again sat in the same car and we all went to our houses.
